Doctor Who: The Girl in the Fireplace

The latest Doctor Who episode is out. If you're a fan of the Rose of Versailles series or French history, I think this would be an excellent episode for you to watch.

It sort of blends the French court and sci-fi into a wonderful episode. It centers around Madame de Pompadour. I don't know how historically accurate it is, I mean this is an episode of Doctor Who, but it was still an lovely episode. This episode made me laugh, wonder, jump from fear, fall in love and feel sadness from loss. A tough thing to do from any TV program but it's done wonderfully in this episode.

So anyway, fire up your BitTorrent clients and go get it.

Doctor Who: Confidential - From Script to Screen

And for your history and accuracy buffs, they do address the issue in Confidential and that they tried, but wasn't too worried about it. But I don't know anything about French history or the period fashion, so you'll have to tell me how much they got wrong. ;)

PS: The episode is on YouTube in 5 parts if you want to watch it that way.
