AX 2007: Ibara Cosplay Group


After almost a year and a half of planning this with random delays and generally just "life" getting in the way of cosplay, we were finally able to get a group together to cosplay from Ibara, this 2D Japanese space shooter with amazing boss character designs.

Sleepy took this picture of me and Lisa during our photo shoot. Wow... it really does look like I'm surrounded by girls all weekend huh?

And talk about random, we ran into Dennis Rodman when we went out to dinner one night. Wow, I was TOTALLY nervous around him, though Chris (the DBZ cosplayer) was totally at ease. LOL What a memorable AX this year. :>


But wait there's more! We're going to have more people in our Ibara group eventually. Some people just couldn't make it to the gathering and others needed more time to finish their costume. So this won't be the last time you see us, oh no the sexiness will continue!

This group is made of sexy, and the physics of Ashe's costume will never cease to be amazing.

I'm really intrigued by how 'Teresa' did the bodysuit stuff. It could be something, actually, that could be useful to a couple of folks over in [info]dawn_lookalikes for one particular outfit that is popular with the same idea going on.

I mean..it looks like a bodysuit, but it seems..almost sheer!

It is a material from the swimsuit/skating section of Jo-anns that is just a little thicker than the nylon used for stockings. It is somewhat sheer, so its a nice compromise between a full on bodysuit and being totally bare. But yeah, works GREAT for costumes that really aren't structually feasible on their own.

I figured someone had to have pics of Rodman there. Between that and the youtube video of Danny Trejo behind the scenes of the SKIN concert that some 4channer pointed out, I'm starting to think that there might've been a dimensional tear situated directly over Long Beach or something. Because it's all just completely freaky.

So... once the Ibara group eventually finally gets everything together and does it's thing, what'll be the next harem to gather people for? XD

Glad I finally ran into you! I saw you rushing off to the Ibara photoshoot and I didn't want to get in your way. I actually had planned on doing caramel/maple but I ran out of time. I'm backlogged on like 4 costumes, but I'm sure that's not the worse...
