Photoshoot with Melody

I first worked with Melody when I attended the Lighting Essentials Workshop earlier this year.

We never got around to working again until recently. Yah, I suck. But we finally did this weekend!

Only after a minor panic attack by me! :/

We were going to shoot in Downtown San Jose. Most of you will know the location as being where Fanime is held every year.

Well, when we got to downtown, the exit was blocked off... hmm...
Then when we took the detour, we saw a lot of the local roads were blocked off... hmm...
Turns out there was a parade... O_o

OH CRAP, OH CRAP, OH CRAP, OH CRAP...

So I started driving around, trying to figure out what to do. Then, after what seemed like an eternity, realized that the San Jose City Hall was close by...

Went there for photos, and THANK GOODNESS the weather was cooperating too, since the photos turned out gorgeous!

I actually asked the bartender, that if we bought a drink, if he would let us shoot at the bar. He said yes. :D I also asked him to make us a "pretty" drink. LOL

It was this pomegranate martini. It was actually very yummy, we both finished it off after we were done using it as a prop. :D

At Hanh's place where Melody got her makeup done and changed for the shoot. And of course the MUA doesn't want any pictures of herself, so she's blurred on purpose.

Natural window light is pretty isn't it? Pretty model helps too. ;-)
