|Spicy Sashimi Bowl|
It's pretty simple to put together actually, which is another bonus!
1 cup of rice (short or medium grain "sushi" rice recommended)
fresh tuna sashimi
fresh salmon sashimi
1 package of seaweed salad
1 bottle of asian chili sauce
Cook the rice in your trusty rice cooker or just boil it in a pot. Once it's finished cooking, place the rice in a bowl and let it cool. If you start topping the sashimi on the steaming rice, it will start cooking the raw fish.
Cut the tuna and salmon sashimi into cubes or slices, depending on how you like it. In this case I was practicing my sashimi cut. As you can see I failed miserably. X-D
Once the rice is at room temprature, place the sashimi pieces on the rice. Then add a small handful of seaweed salad. Add the chili sauce to your own spicyness level.
All of the ingredients, the sashimi and the chili sauce can be picked up at the local Ranch 99 or asian market.
The cost this dish is about $15 at the restaurant.
It's also $15 if you make it yourself. But! That includes the salmon sashimi (which isn't in the restaurant version) and there's enough to make two servings. So it's totally worth it to make yourself. X-D
I made this a few weeks ago, but never got around to making a post about it. Hmmm... I think it's time for me to make it again this weekend. :D
