Went and saw, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and what can I say, it was AMAZING!
Don't worry, no spoilers.
But it was a great movie. It was exciting, action packed, hilarous and such a ride. I mean literally. At the end of the movie I felt like I was getting of a fantastic roller coaster ride! I was literally coming down from a adrenalin rush!
I haven't been so satisfied with a movie and a franchise in a long time!
Man it was a blast! :D
色, 戒 (Lust, Caution)
Also this weekend, I finally sat down and watched Lust, Caution. I've been wanting to see it for such a long time. I even got the NC-17 version of the movie! LOL
For those who don't know, the movie is set in Japanese occupied China. A resistance is group is trying to assassinate a high ranking Chinese official collaborating with the Japanese government.
I dunno, personally I didn't see what SUCH a big deal was. Sure the sex scenes were quite vigorous and surprisingly enough, it was important to the story. It goes into how and why Wong Chia Chi and Mr. Yee feelings intertwine. Who's trying to seduce whom.
Chia Chi's rant to a resistance cell leader about her situation and how they need to pull her out totally made the movie for me. It was so full of emotion and confusion and desperation. She was no longer in control of just seducing a man, but he was actually starting to seduce her. It was a fantastic performance.
It's definitely a character driven movie.
I can see some people thinking that the movie is slow, but I found the pacing to be perfect and plenty of time for the characters in the movie to develop.
But yah, Lust, Caution probably isn't a movie for everyone, sex scenes or no, but I really enjoyed the plot, setting and overall feel of the movie.
